Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at dispatch@ntxhail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We understand how frustrating this can be, however, the good news is that we are confident that with our knowledge and assistance, you will be well on your way to having your vehicle road-ready in no time.

Here's a roadmap of what to do if you are affected by hail:

  • Call your insurance company and file a hail claim or do so using your applicable insurance app or website. (This falls under your comprehensive coverage)

  • The insurance will go through a series of questions with you, e.g., was your glass damaged? Is the vehicle drivable? Location of the storm? Etc.

  • Inspection /estimate process- either can be done at an insurance catastrophe drive-in, collision center, or field written estimate initiated by your insurance company. They will provide you with your preliminary estimate. (Physical copy or emailed)

  • Repair Process- once you have decided on a repair facility e.g., local collision center, Hail Repair facility (like us), you will let your insurance company know and also provide your initial estimate and set a repair date at said shop.  You can do so with us in the form below. If you have rental on your policy this would be the time to have your ins. set up the rental reservation.

  • Once a repair date is set with your shop of choice, you will drop off your vehicle, and get into your rental, and the shop will keep you updated on the repair process.

  • During the time your vehicle is in the shop here's what happens- the vehicle is given a closer more detailed examination of damage, and any damage that was missed during the initial estimate (which happens often)  a supplemental estimate is sent back to the insurance company. This is to be sure that nothing is missed on your vehicle and that it is restored to pre-storm conditions.

  • Once your vehicle has been repaired and has undergone our quality control you will be called to pick up your vehicle.

  • We guarantee our work and want our customers to be completely satisfied.

No. The days of having to drive around getting estimates are no longer necessary. Now all that needs to happen is to arrange an at home pick up or drop off at our repair facility to get the process started and well take care of the rest.

No., not because of one incident. Hail damage is a force of nature and therefore not your fault. If your insurance company were to raise rates it would be a blanket rise in premiums based on a geographical region and would go up for all insured where there are higher overall risks of damage.

This does happen and is normally based on the age and the severity of the damage to your vehicle. This is when the total cost to repair the vehicle meets or exceeds the total value of the vehicle. Your insurance company will take into consideration the age, mileage, and conditioning of your particular vehicle to the market. Your insurance company will do a total loss evaluation on your vehicle relative to your insurance policy and what it covers. They know that no two vehicles are the same. We have seen that most insurance companies try to do right by their insureds. They will then call you and go through your options.
